Vision

Restore Hope and Peace through Awareness and Youth Empowerment

TheIturian, a nonprofit organization based in Windsor, Ontario, collaborates closely with community-based organizations, women's groups, and youth groups to launch initiatives that empower women and youth in vulnerable settings. Our efforts focus primarily on refugee settlements and displaced persons camps in Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. As well as the host communities where refugees reside here in Canada

Sasa-RDC Initiatives

SRI aims to identify practical solutions, provide support to pregnant girls and young mothers, and promote awareness of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights to enhance community resilience and empower women in Uganda and D.R.C

Status: Active Initiative in Kyaka II Refugee Settlement, Uganda since 2023

Survivor-victim initiatives -SVI

SVI aims to provide support and counselling to children victims of rape and sexual assault in refugee settlements and IDP camps, ensuring their Protection and Inclusion in the Community in Uganda and the D.R.C

Status: Active Initiative in Kyaka II Refugee Settlement, Uganda since 2024

Siblings-keeper initiatives-SKI

SKI supports children in IDP camps suffering from severe malnutrition, genetic diseases, and HIV/AIDS by providing treatment pathways and raising awareness about these conditions in the Democratic Republic of Congo
